Performance
The school has a programme of themed choirs which are performed at corporate and charity events. Students are selected for these events by the Musical and Artistic Director in conjunction with the Principal.
Students at the Sylvia Young Theatre School accept that charity work is an integral part of the schools ethos and give their time enthusiastically.
The Sylvia Young Theatre School represented the UK at the International Children's Festival, Washington USA, and the school was commissioned by GMTV to produce and perform an original piece “The Real Meaning Of Christmas” devised by our musical director.
The schools performance choir take part in professional events and charity gala’s including, Childline, Kids Out, NODA, A Night of 1000 Voices, Alternative Hair Show, Grand Order of Water Rats to name a few. Students have been performing for the past seven years for Save the Children Royal Gala in the presence of HRH Princess Royal and were also fortunate in being invited to sing at Buckingham Palace.
Students have recently performed in Paris, Switzerland, Brussels and Amsterdam for the Nespresso Brand.
